Sea To Sky

Journal

words & art

A visual journal of words and art.

Simple, curious, and a little unexpected.

We’re drawn to work that makes us pause — smile, think, or tilt our heads and look again.

Inspired by the spirit of illustrated poetry and playful page design, Sea to Sky Journal brings together words and images in a way that feels simple, thoughtful, and a little unexpected.

Sea to Sky Journal is a visual journal of words and art.

It’s a space for small, meaningful work — pieces that make us pause, look again, or tilt our

heads and wonder.

We’re drawn to work that feels simple, curious, and a little unexpected.

Something that doesn’t quite fit a category — and doesn’t need to.

We’re interested in creative work — however it’s made.

What matters most is the thought, care, and curiosity behind it.

  • visual, playful, or surprising

  • rooted in place — or drifting somewhere new

  • simple, layered, or hard to define

  • words, images, or something in between

We love work that feels like:

  • a page from a notebook

  • a sketch with a story

  • a poem you can see

We’re not looking for polished perfection.

We’re looking for work with personality.

If it feels honest, curious, or a little different — it’s probably a fit. Refer to our submissions terms for more information.

Contributors selected for publication will receive one complimentary copy of Sea to Sky Journal, along with an opportunity to share their work at a magazine event in the fall.
